Week Four--CONFIRMED!

This week, let's welcome our new campus president, Bob Enger. We hope he's enjoying the Modesto Magic in his first week here! Today's special event on campus:

• Thursday, March 12: OPEN HOUSE. Spring for Change! From 5-7, we're holding an open house for the public to learn about our exciting career programs. We'll have vendors, reps from each program, and delicious treats to indulge your sweet tooth. Please come and invite your family, friends, and neighbors.

Throwback Thursday

It's a blast from the 80s here at IOT this Thursday, March 5. Come dressed in your best 80s outfit, and show us your music game in the lip sync contest. At the long breaks...

Springtime in Salida

The almonds are blossoming and we all have allergies--but that doesn't mean we have to be miserable! A new module starts this week and we welcome all new students to campus. Get acquainted with the school, its students, and teachers by reading the Modesto Magic, our campus newsletter. Enjoy!

Candygrams are here...get 'em while they're fresh

Send the gift of exhilarating sugar to show someone how much you like them! Candygrams are now for sale in two prices: $1/$2. Fill out the order form with your message and bring it to Student Services, the Reception Desk, or see Mr. Miguel.

Week Three, How I Love Thee

In Week 3, students are finally getting into a groove with their homework and study routine; they are learning how IOT works and what is expected of them. Now that you have a handle on the situation, be sure to participate in the following events this week:

• Wednesday January 28 is TEAM DAY. It's okay to wear jeans and team t-shirts, jerseys, and hats to class. Student Diplomats will also be selling raffle tickets for one serving of nachos; only $3.00.
• Thursday January 29--dress professionally; IOT is hosting a Hispanic Chamber of Commerce mixer in the evening hours.
• Attend a beginning EXCEL workshop this Friday, January 30, at 11:30 a.m. You must sign up in advance by notifying Stella or Laura.
• Keep up your perfect attendance! Show up every day this mod and you're eligible for a drawing on February 16 for a Valentine-themed prize.

Coffe & cocoa today!

Today is a great day to keep warm and toasty... and you can do that by purchasing coffee or cocoa in the Student Break Room for $1.00. Your money supports the Student Diplomat fund, which goes to assist particular projects, such as Easter baskets for children of students; Operation Backpack; The Angel Tree at Christmas, and more.
